Physicists, astronomers, planetary scientists and engineers are working to so choose fighter magazine the asteroid and to do that gathered at the international conference of Celestial Mechanics held in San Martino al Cimino near Viterbo. Camilla Colombo, an engineer at the Polytechnic of Milan and collaborator at the University of Strathclyde, Scotland, explained that "the capture of an asteroid is a project still in its infancy and very ambitious, and we are evaluating fighter magazine all possible options." The Colombo said: "The first step is to find and choose the best candidate among the thousands of asteroids identified. It should find a small one that has a diameter of about seven meters and this complicates a little 'things, as we observe and study well bigger ones. " Once you have chosen the asteroid will be the time of the calculation of the optimal trajectory that the probe will have to follow in order to minimize costs, capture the celestial object and bring it near the Earth, says Colombo, fighter magazine who adds: "Even the European Space Agency (Esa ) for its part funded a study to propose technologies that will be used to probe to manipulate the orbital speed of a small asteroid. One of the steps in the development of Europe's contribution to NASA Orion crew vehicle, which should result in expectations national space centre vouchers of men beyond Earth orbit by the end of this decade, has been scheduled for next May. Until that date, the time will be used for detailed analysis of the proposed projects national space centre vouchers of European material. Using technology tested in flight dell'Automated Transfer Vehicle national space centre vouchers (ATV), national space centre vouchers Europe will contribute with material and knowledge to the program Orion Multi-Purpose Crew Vehicle. This paper focuses on the large involvement of ESA and European industries in this crucial project of NASA, and is based on long-standing collaboration of the 2 agencies in many areas of human spaceflight and robotic. In 2011, an initial forecast on the development of Europe from the existing technology to use for the ATV Service Module Orion, had established phase of the project called Preliminary Design Review (PDR) for November 2013. However, a number of technical revisions showed that it will take additional time to finalize the details of the project, the maturity of essential documentation must be developed, and recent changes to the projects and baselines must be verified. The result is the decision to delay the PDR of 6 months. The effects on the final program of the project are yet to be estimated. Hopefully they will not have effects on the path of the project and that they are on the minimum general programming. Of specific working groups have been set up to work on priority activities, the industrial teams have been reinforced and a cooperative approach to working with NASA and the U.S. industries has been defined. "Decisions on the contribution of ESA are critical because we know the plans of NASA to use Orion for a long time to make new missions including human missions to asteroids," says Nico Dettman, Head of ESA's ATV program. "We need more time to evaluate your options and ensure the right design decisions at this level." "We objectives very difficult and we are implementing new techniques in our design national space centre vouchers process, including analysis of probabilistic reliability," national space centre vouchers says Nico. "The extension will help both agencies to make the right design choices, and thus to increase security as they will have the feeling of having done the correct way to design and construction." Rudy Bidoggia Passionate about space and everything that is science from an early age, he wrote from 2012 to AstronautiNews. He works as a computer technician at a local radio station in Friuli Venezia national space centre vouchers Giulia. Read all articles by Rudy let's hope it does not happen as with the f35, which the contributing countries to the project (such as Italy) are completely excluded from the management software and various ingegnerizzazioni. In this case the ESA must be clear and tough. Or put us in a position to use the common parts that we develop or go to diqavolo. i still have the Russians and Chinese who are eager to have us as a partner. after all, think about it well, what have we gained over many years of collaboration with NASA? some flight on iss, some experiments that nobody cares and nothing that we have evolved so much. Nothing that made us jump satisfaction and worse, made us move forward ... fantasy, desire for adventure. chasing dreams, to see some ragazziono European who wants to be an astronaut. and sorry, I have too many head We are by far the most European partner with astronauts on the ISS, and all of a sudden became a bad thing? On 20 January aerojet careers 2014, the European Space Agency's Rosetta probe will come out of hibernation period in which it is located from 8 June 2011 to 673 million kilometers from the Sun Rosetta has been oriented in such a way that the solar panels were oriented Sun in order to start a rotation once per minute for stability. The only devices in operation were her computer and the different radiators. The Rosetta aerojet careers computer is programmed to perform a sequence aerojet careers of events to reconnect with the Earth on January 20, from a sort of waking up at 10am GMT. The Rosetta mission is a mission of the European Space Agency (ESA) in collaboration with the American Space Agency, NASA and the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA. And 'one of the most ambitious projects as well as one of the longest missions, since it covers a period of 11 years, from 2004 to 2015. Rosetta is the first mission that will continue exploration in the long term, of about a year, of a comet as it approaches the point of minimum distance from the Earth and the Sun Rosetta was launched on March 2, 2004 with the RG-Ariane from Kourou in French Guiana. At full load, the weight was 3,000 kg and included 1670 kg of propellant, 165 pounds of instrumentation orbiter, which will go into orbit around the comet in May, 2014, and about 100 kg lander, which will drop on the surface of the comet nucleus November 10, 2014. At a distance of about 5:25 UA (approximately 790 million kilometers from the Sun, practically aerojet careers the orbit of Jupiter), Rosetta will encounter the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko and follow in his motion in the vicinity of the Sun for over a year and half. The Rosetta mission will end in December 2015, after eleven years since its launch. Launch March 2, 2004 First Earth swing-by with the March 4, 2005 with Mars Swing-by February 25, 2007 According to the Earth swing-by November 13, 2007 by Fly with the asteroid Steins September 5, 2008 Third Earth swing-by 13 Fly by November 2009 with Lutetia July 10, 2010 Rendezvous aerojet careers maneuvers with the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko aerojet careers May 22, 2014 Descent of the Philae lander on the comet nucleus November 10, 2014 Period in which the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is followed by Rosetta around the Sun November 2014-December 2015 End of the mission in December 2015 The orbiter will continue to orbit the comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko watching the comet's aerojet careers nucleus as it approaches the Sun, thus providing valuable information for the landing of the lander that will take place a few months later in a gentle way and without problems. The Rosetta probe consists of an orbiter that will orbit the comet in May 2014, followed by the comet on its way to the point of minimum distance from the Earth and the Sun and a few months later, on November 10, 2014, will drop a lander on surface of the comet nucleus, Philae, which will provide important information on the surface composition, nature, size and shape of the nucleus very useful to understand the origin of comets. The months during which the orbiter which will be in orbit around the nucleus will be of extreme aerojet careers importance because you will have a mapping of the surface of the comet in order to allow the lander to land softly and without damage on its surface. The Rosetta mission will allow the study of smaller objects in the solar system, in particular of two asteroids and a comet: Steins and Lutetia, Rosetta visited on 5 September aerojet careers 2008 and July 10, 2010, and the comet 67P/Churyumov-Geramisenko . The comet was discovered by 67P/Churyumov-Geramisenko Klim Churyumov on some of the photographic plates taken by Svetlana 32P/Comas Sola Geramisenko in September aerojet careers 1969 in Alma-Ata. From that moment 67P was observed during his many approaches. The comet 67P/CG aerojet careers has a period aerojet careers of 6.6 years has been active for a certain period of time. In his penultimate appearance of 2002-2003, the comet passed perihelion aerojet careers on August 18, 2002 reaching a magnitude of 12, although an outburst of apparent magnitude 2 was observed at its perihelion, the point of closest approach to the Sun A similar phenomenon had been observed in previous comet's closest approach aerojet careers to the Sun with an intensity a bit 'less. On both occasions the growth of the light curve was very quick. It is noted that the outburst of 1996 has shown some of the first perihelion passage while that of 2002 manifested its perihelion. Despite this activity, the comet did not have large variations in orbital parameters from the time of its discovery in 1969. However, the comet has a rather peculiar history. During aerojet careers the nineteenth and twentieth centuries before 1959 its perihelion distance is varied from about 2.5 U

The extraordinary feature of the Hubble Space Telescope is that it has allowed us to overcome fighters film the limit that has affected astronomers since the time of Galileo Galilei, which is the Earth's fighters film atmosphere, which distorts the images captured fighters film by telescopes positioned on the Earth's surface. The HST instead, being above the atmosphere, allows the observation of celestial bodies with more sharpness. It 'so named in honor of the astronomer and astrophysicist at the American astronomer fighters film Edwin Hubble, known in the scientific community in 1929 for having formulated the empirical law of "redshift" ("Moving fighters film toward red"), now called "Hubble's Law". Specifications The telescope fighters film has a mass of about 11 tons, is 13 meters long and 4m wide and is a real eye in the sky in a position to observe the Universe. It consists of a reflector telescope with two mirrors: the main has a diameter of 2.4 meters and is equipped with cameras that allow you to see and capture distant celestial objects billions of light years from us. The rotating devices that orient and stabilize the telescope, gyroscopes, three. It is powered by the energy generated by its two solar panels and each complete orbit around the Earth takes about 95 minutes. Hubble is equipped with a double planetary Angle lens allows you to shoot high-resolution planets and an instrument called a spectrograph, which breaks the light captured by the telescope in the various frequencies that compose it. The spectrum analysis allows the analysis of fundamental information that relate to a celestial body, such as its chemical composition, the temperature, the speed of rotation and magnetic fields. It 'also equipped room for observations in the infrared fighters film and faint objects. The data collected by Hubble, as well as the operational commands, are sent to Earth via the Tracking Data Relay Satellite Station located in White Sands, New Mexico. The onboard computer can store commands for more than 24 hours and the data collected by Hubble may be sent to the station to Earth directly or stored and transmitted later. The telescope was launched into orbit April 24, 1990 on the STS-31 Space Shuttle Discovery. The crew of mission, consisting of the U.S. astronauts fighters film Col. Loren J. Shriver (commander), Col. Charles F. Bolden (pilot), Captain Bruce McCandless, Dr. Steven A. Hawley, Dr. Kathryn fighters film D. Sullivan (mission specialists), placed it in the outer layers of the atmosphere. The first results were not what we expected because the primary mirror of the telescope was suffering from spherical aberration due to a manufacturing defect: they were out of focus and distorted images. The defect was corrected in 1993 with a space mission during which astronauts setting up a series of corrective lenses. Other missions carried out by astronauts on space walk was performed to repair or replace equipment failures with other more advanced fighters film features. In subsequent years, the Hubble telescope has given us spectacular images of distant celestial objects, making his eyes on the universe of humanity. Hubble, with its many discoveries and hundreds of thousands of astronomical images exceptional fighters film helped human beings to perfect their vision of the universe. In 2012 was published fighters film an image taken by Hubble, called eXtreme Hubble Deep Field, who gave us a very deep view of the universe, the deepest ever obtained: the picture shows a small region of space containing less luminous galaxies and most distant ever seen, obtained thanks to the images taken by the telescope in 10 years. The universe, according to the most recent estimates, has about 13.8 billion years old and galaxies observable nell'immagin
Definitely air force jets eventful day, yesterday, for the comet ISON: the hours of greatest air force jets tension started around 12:45 UT when the comet was near perihelion and the probes air force jets in orbit around the Sun came the latest images. The ISON, after a 'sudden activity that had lifted the spirits had manifested between 21 and 23 November, a major change: the molecular production had fallen sharply, while it was exponentially increased the production of dust, leaving to assume a complete break of the core. The expectations were definitely toned down. But despite this, when the ISON has disappeared behind the coronagraph of the SOHO spacecraft, which hides the solar disk, has increased the concern and the network began an excited tam tam news. Initially, it was not given too much weight air force jets to the lightweight trail because often a puff of dust is all that remains of a comet swallowed by the Sun Sungrazer Now, there are still several scenarios to consider: the core of the ISON may have fragmented into many small pieces and these mini-cores continue to sublimate, leaving a tail more widespread. The comet could then exist for days or weeks before disappearing Comet ISON was formed mostly by dust particles that were destroyed by the intense heat of the Sun we may not have a clear understanding of the current air force jets structure of the comet due to of view we are seeing something new, never seen before It will take at least a couple of days to analyze the data and figure out if this bizarre comet is making fun of us. Still a little 'patience. air force jets The hope is to be able to write a new post with the guide for observing the comet's perihelion ISON in the post! My nedelin catastrophe eyes are closed as I listen to Chris counting nedelin catastrophe down the atmospheric pressure inside nedelin catastrophe the airlock it s close to zero now. But I m not tired quite the reverse! I feel fully charged, as if electricity and not blood were running through my veins. I just want to make sure I experience and remember everything. I m mentally preparing myself to open the door because I will be the first to exit the Station this time round. Maybe it s just as well that it s night time: at least there won t be anything to distract me. When nedelin catastrophe I read 0.5 psi, it s time to turn the handle and pull up the hatch. It is pitch black outside, not the colour black but rather a complete absence of light. I drink in the sight as I lean out to attach our safety cables. I feel completely at ease as I twist my body to let Chris go by. In a matter of seconds, nedelin catastrophe we finish checking each other and we separate. Even though we are both heading to more or less the same part of the International Space Station, our routes are completely different, set out by the choreography we have studied meticulously. My route is direct, towards the back of the Station, while Chris has to go towards the front first in order to wind his cable around Z1, the central truss structure above Node 1. At that moment, none of us in orbit or on Earth could have imagined just how much this decision nedelin catastrophe would influence the events of the day. I pay careful attention to every move as I make my way towards the protective bag that we left outside the week before. I don t want to make the mistake of feeling so much at ease as to be relaxed. Inside the bag I find the cables that form part of what will perhaps be my most difficult task of the day. I have to connect them to the Station s external sockets nedelin catastrophe while at the same time securing them to the surface of the station with small metal wires. Both operations involve me using my fingers a lot, and I know from experience that this will be really tiring because of the pressurised gloves. Chris partially connected the first cable last week, so I get hold of the part that is still unattached nedelin catastrophe and I guide it carefully towards nedelin catastrophe the socket. After a little initial difficulty, I inform Houston that I have completed the task and I m ready for the second cable. After getting hold of the next cable, I move into what I think is the most difficult position nedelin catastrophe to work from on the whole Station: I m literally wedged between three different modules, with my visor and my PLSS (my backpack ) just a few centimetres from the external walls of Node 3, Node 1 and the Lab. Very patiently, with considerable effort I manage to fasten one end of the second cable to the socket. Then, moving blindly backwards, I free myself from the awkward position I ve had to work in. On the ground, nedelin catastrophe Shane tells me that I m almost 40 minutes ahead of schedule, nedelin catastrophe and Chris is also running ahead on his tasks. At this exact moment, just as I m thinking about how to uncoil the cable neatly (it is moving around like a thing possessed in the weightlessness), I feel that something is wrong. The unexpected sensation of water at the back of my neck surprises me and I m in a place where I d rather not be surprised. I move my head from side to side, confirming my first impression, and with superhuman effort I force myself to inform Houston of what I can feel, knowing that it could signal the end of this EVA. On the ground, Shane confirms they have received my message and he asks me to await instructions. Chris, who has just finished, is still nearby and he moves towards nedelin catastrophe me to see if he can see anything and identify the source of the water in my helmet. At first, we re both convinced that it must be drinking water from my flask that has leaked out through the straw, or else it s sweat. nedelin catastrophe But I think the liquid is too cold to be sweat, and more importantly, nedelin catastrophe I can feel it increasing. I can t see any liquid coming out of the drinking water valve either. When I inform nedelin catastrophe Chris and Shane of this, we immediately receive the order to terminate the sortie. The other possibility, to abort , is used for more serious nedelin catastrophe problems. I m instructed to go back to the airlock. Together we decide that Chris should secure all the elements nedelin catastrophe that are outside before he retraces his steps to the airlock, i.e. he will first move to the front of the Station. And so we separate. As I move back along my route towards the airlock, I become more and more certain that the water is increasing. I feel it covering the sponge on my earphones and I wonder whether I ll lose audio contact. The water has also almost completely covered the front of my visor, sticking to it and obscuring my vision. I realise that to get over one of the antennae on my route I will have to move my body into a vertical position, also in order for my safety cable to rewind normally. At that moment, as I turn upside-down , two things happen: the Sun sets, and my ability to see already compromised by the water completely vanishe
Shturmanskie watches, first the 15 jewels version and later on the 17 jewels, were given to graduating butterfly avionics pilots of the Soviet Airforce, see watch #1 for the 15 jewels version. This is a historically important watch, a watch similar to this one was taken to space by Juri Gagarin in the first human orbital flight. When Gagarin returned to earth the watch was taken to the 1MWF collection and he received a black Rodina as a gift. The watch was later stolen from the 1MWF and there is still some contradictory information regarding which Shturmanskie version was he wearing. In the 1MWF website there is a picture of the 15 jewels version while in a catalog there is the 17 jewels (see picture bellow). Most sources point to the 17 jewels version as the one that Gagarin wore during his historical flight. This is also is in agreement with production dates for both models and Gagarin's graduation day from pilot's school. This watch was produced by the 1MWF in the late 50ies earlier 60ies. It mounts a 17 jewels mechanism with a shock protected balance spring and hacking stop. This movement was also fitted on Sportivnie watches. So I am now a few days in on my review of the Sturmanskie Gagarin 50th Anniversary model. So far, so very, very good! When you first put on a new watch, the first thing you do is set it and wind it. This is where you can often tell pretty quickly how the watch might operate long term. Is the crown stiff? Difficult to wind? Noisy when turning? For the Gagarin - none of the above. ball aerospace jobs The crown engages very smoothly and the time sets neatly. The winding action is about the smoothest I have felt since I tried a few new pieces at BaselWorld. I have had this watch for several days, and to try and get a gauge of the power reserve, I let it go and got better than 48 hours! So ball aerospace jobs far, the timing is very impressive - we are currently 4 seconds fast per day. More to come! Hello everybody! This blog is all about watches! I intend to use it to post all kind of info about watches (new releases, technical info, history, collections, repair, links, and lots more). For it to work, i need your sugestions and comments! Thank you. On April 12, 06:07 GMT, 1961 Juri Gagarin, at the controls of Vostok One, ushered in a new era, one of manned space flight, and the world was forever changed. The technology that put this man in space and brought him safely home, was some of the newest and most modern equipment available. Ironically, on his wrist was a technology general dynamics jobs that was already centuries old-- watch making. It may seem odd to us now in this time of extremely accurate quartz watches, but at the time, the mechanical wrist watch was an important piece of gear, and it’s accuracy and reliability general dynamics jobs were of paramount concern. In light of these concerns, the choice of watch Gagarin took with him would not have been a decision made in haste. The STURMANSKIE, (or ШТУРМАНСКИЕ in Cyrillic,) which had been issued to new graduates of the prestigious Orenberg Flight School along with their diplomas since the late 1940’s, was a logical choice, due to the high quality of the movement and inherent accuracy of the watch. Gagarin would have been supplied with such a 1st Moscow Watch Factory Sturmanskie opon graduation from Orenberg as well, but it is doubtful that he would have received the Sturmanskie he wore into space at that time. Most likely, he would have been awarded general dynamics jobs a 15 jewel watch, very similar to the one he wore in space but lacking general dynamics jobs some of the newer features that were unavailable at that time. Based on an earlier French general dynamics jobs design, the Lip R26, from which the Soviets purchased the machinery to produce the watch. general dynamics jobs The Soviet’s had updated the design by adding a central seconds complication and a hacking feature that allowed the watch to be precisely stopped and synchronized with a given time signal. A critical detail on any military watch, but especially so on a Navigator’s watch, where often location would be ascertained by correctly estimating where the aircraft was by accurately measuring time to distance. The Sturmanskie Gagarin wore into space had a highly finished (including Geneva striping!) 17 jewel, shock protected movement. The movement general dynamics jobs was housed in a chrome plated, two-piece case measuring 33 mm across, 12 mm high, with a 16 mm lug size and had a stainless steel screw back. Unlike the earlier watch’s stainless steel snap back, the new watch was fully gasketed providing better water resistance. As a matter of fact, the Sturmanskie’s movement and case, were virtually identical to the civilian Sportivnie (Спортивные). Only the dial separated the two watches visually from each other. After his world famous general dynamics jobs flight, the watch Gagarin wore was donated to what was soon to become ПОЛЕТ or Poljot, meaning flight, in honor of Gagarin’s groundbreaking mission. Something that is so easy to lose sight of - literally! The face of your watch. Is it clearly laid out? Is it easy to read? The aerospace dynamics Sturmanskie Gagarin 50th Anniversary is such a nice, refreshingly clear lay out and design. Hours, minutes, seconds. Bells, whistles, sub dials - they all have their place. But sometimes you just want a watch. And while we are on the subject of legibility - I have to mention the quality of the lume of this watch - it is truly impressive! Not just the hands, but the numerals as well. I am having to remind myself of the actual retail of this watch when I consider the wearing experience so far... it is underpriced. I aerospace dynamics have tested quite a few watches at much higher aerospace dynamics price points that were not nearly as good. The time keeping is still good - the past 72 hours we are at +4 seconds per day. Stay tuned! Sturmanskie is a watch brand well-known for being the manufacturer of the first watch in space, as it was a basic mechanical Sturmanskie watch that Yuri Gagarin, the first man to make it into outer space and orbit the earth, was wearing around his wrist on April 16, 1961 aboard his Vostok spacecraft. To commemorate Gagarin’s Vostok 1 mission into outer space, Sturmanskie created the Gagarin angkasa mp3 series of watches, a line that carries various watches inspired by the first watch to make it into outer space. If there is one watch in this collection that is really worth featuring, it’s the Sturmanskie 2609/1701700, angkasa mp3 a commemorative piece released by Sturmanskie on the 50th anniversary angkasa mp3 of Gagarin’s space flight. While there are three watches in the collection that closely resemble angkasa mp3 Gagarin’s watch, it’s the 2609/1701700 angkasa mp3 that was designed to look exactly like Gagarin’s mechanical Sturmanskie. Packaged in a space capsule that was designed to look like the Vostok 1 capsule, the 2609/1701700 is something that every watch collector or any watch enthusiast should angkasa mp3 have in their collection. The Sturmanskie Gagarin 2609/1701700 is a pretty basic mechanical watch and while there are other watches in the series that feature much more elaborate designs and functions, this watch is the highlight of the series because it looks and functions exactly like the original Sturmanskie that Gagarin wore. It uses a mechanical 2609 manual winding movement with 16 ruby jewels and features a mineral glass crystal. The watch features a white dial with green and black markings and carries the classic Sturmanskie logo. The case is made of stainless steel and measures 38 mm in diameter. While considerably smaller than most Russian watches today, 38 mm is still a decent size for men’s watches. It features a genuine leather angkasa mp3 strap with matching black top-stitching. The back cover features a stainless steel case etched with an image of space and the years “1961-2011″. The Sturmanskie Gagarin 2609/1701700 retails for $379 to $549, which might be a bit pricey for a basic mechanical watch but you have to keep in mind that this is a commemorative, limited-edition piece. If you’re looking for the watch that defined Sturmanskie as a brand worldwide, the 2609/1701700 is the timepiece for you. It may be simple in both design angkasa mp3 and function but its historical significance means more than any high-functioning timepiece angkasa mp3 out there. Mechanical 2609 Russian Movement Manual winding Ruby Jewels: 16 pieces Shock-resistant balance Crystal: Mineral glass Functions: hours, minutes, seconds Case: Stainless steel Case diameter: 38 mm Water resistance: 30 meters Leather strap Can anyone tell me the English translation of the cyrillic script on caseback of the Gagarin Sturmanskie 50th anniversary commemorative watch? angkasa mp3 Below the earth and vostok blasting off translates ‘let’s go’ but what about the script on the outer edge of the caseback?
Okay- once again, it seems that I have lingered too long on a review - this is the danger of forming aerosystem an attachment. This in turn brought on this whole internal discussion (with myself) about possessions, life's impermanence, etc. Which in turn led me to think about the folly of desire... which in turn led me to - you guessed it (okay, maybe not) Kung-Fu (the tv show): Caine : Is it good to seek the past, Master Po? Does it not rob the present? Master Po : If a man dwells on the past, then he robs the present. But if a man ignores aerosystem the past, he may rob the future. The seeds of our destiny are nurtured by the roots of our past. And this in turn brings us full circle to the idea of "anniversary" or "tribute" watches. I bet you thought I'd never get to the point! There are a lot of companies out there, "reissuing" as if their very lives depended upon it. And in all honestly, I do not know that there is anything wrong with that, but after a while, it almost gets to be too much. The Speedmaster aerosystem Professional - and it's seemingly hundreds of offspring to mark nearly every NASA mission - not once, but in some cases twice! And for the hard-core Omega fan out there, that is good - even great. aerosystem In the case of the Sturmanskie Gagarin 50th Anniversary we are, in some ways, looking at a reissue. aerosystem But I'm okay with this one. For one thing, it is a commemorative watch - commemorating the 50th anniversary of Gagarin's historic flight. It is a change from the previous version in that it is a bit bigger, at 38 mm. And I really love this size. It is big enough to be "present" but not at any point overwhelming. And most importantly it is COMFORTABLE!!! It really sits well on the wrist. aerosystem It is true to the original in its layout. The dial, indices and hands are not crazy reinterpretations. And while we are talking about the dial - the LUME is amazing on this watch! One of the few watches I've had recently aerosystem that you can actually read in the dark - not just see, but READ! The time keeping aerosystem has been much better than I would have expected for a watch at this price point. The deviations have been between +3 to +4 seconds per day. This is FAR better than the "advertised" daily rate in the spec sheet. And the power reserve is pretty remarkable as well. Typically you might expect 36 hours, aerosystem but the Sturmanskie went beyond - nearly 48 hours in my last "test". The winding action is phenomenally smooth! The crown is large enough and somewhat curved to allow for a better "handle". I was able to wind this watch while it was on my wrist. Something I can do with my Hanhart Pioneer and not too many others. The strap, while not top of the line is quite good and a very good balance for the watch. A nice, basic buckle completes it, and in keeping aerosystem with what was a Soviet design - nice and simple. Daily rate from –20 aerosystem to +40 s/day Power reserve minimum: 40 h Case size is 38mm So to sum it up - this is a great watch for the money. It offers you a nice mechanical 3-hand watch, with a good story behind it. Even if you are not even remotely interested in the Gagarin/Cosmonaut/Star City angle, this is a great watch for what it offers.
